 “Mumbai’s spirit is unbreakable; the city neither stops nor collapses” – Deputy CM Eknath Shinde

Deputy CM Eknath Shinde said that the 26/11 attack targeted Mumbai’s culture, identity, and spirit. However, Mumbai neither stopped nor bowed down. He added that India’s retaliatory action after the Pahalgam attack reflects the country's growing strength.

He praised Dr. Sadanand Date and Nita Ambani, saying the nation is proud of such individuals.

Dr. Sadanand Date, who exhibited exceptional bravery during the 26/11 attack while severely injured in the grenade assault at Cama Hospital, was specially honoured.

Nita Ambani was recognized for her peace-building and social initiatives through the Reliance Foundation.
NSG commando Sunil Jodha, known as a ‘living martyr’, was also honoured. He survived 20 bullet injuries during the 26/11 attack, with one bullet still lodged in his body.

Relatives of civilians killed in the Pahalgam attack and families of 26/11 martyrs were also felicitated.

The event was attended by Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, Minister Ashish Shelar, Mukesh Ambani, Bollywood celebrities, and other dignitaries.
