Journalists from Naxal belt of Chhattisgarh, Bihar meet Maharashtra Governor
A group of media persons from the Naxalism affected Chhattisgarh and Bihar today called on the Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai on Fri (25 Sept).
The visit was organised by the Press Information Bureau and led by Director General of PIB (Western Region) Smita Vats Sharma.
Stating that journalism is a strong pillar of democracy, the Governor called upon the media persons to create awareness about national programmes such as Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, TB Mukt Bharat and others.
