 Give Priority to Local Residents in Small-Scale and Ancillary Works at Vadhvan Port Project – MLA Vilas Tare


# Meets JNPA Chairman and Managing Director IAS Gaurav Dyal in Person


Navi Mumbai / Palghar (Representative)  – MLA Vilas Tare of the Boisar Assembly Constituency has urged that priority be accorded to local sons of the soil, tribal communities, and project-affected persons in the small-scale, ancillary, and support works associated with the proposed Vadhvan Port Project. In this regard, he personally met Shri Gaurav Dyal, IAS, Chairman and Managing Director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and the concerned authority for the Vadhvan Port Project, and submitted a written memorandum highlighting the demand.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vilas Tare stated that the proposed Vadhvan Port Project in Palghar district is an ambitious and developmental project of national importance. A significant portion of the project falls within the jurisdiction of the Boisar Assembly Constituency. The project is expected to have both direct and indirect impacts on local residents, tribal communities, fishing communities, and other project-affected families residing in the surrounding villages.
