 Water Supply Projects in Shirol Constituency Should Be Expedited

Mumbai, May 13 : Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Gulabrao Patil has directed that various water supply projects in the Shirol Assembly Constituency of Kolhapur district should be completed in a planned and time-bound manner.

He was speaking at a review meeting held in the Ministry regarding the water supply projects of Shirol Assembly Constituency. The meeting was attended by MLA Rajendra Patil-Yadravkar, Principal Secretary of the Water Supply Department Sanjay Khandare, Mission Director's representative Sushma Satpute, Chief Engineer Prashant Bhamre, and other officials connected to the water supply projects in the constituency.

Minister Patil stated that considering the delays caused by some contractors in the ongoing water supply works under the Jal Jeevan Mission, immediate action should be taken against such contractors. He emphasized that ongoing works should be further expedited so that the benefits can reach citizens at the earliest.

He also mentioned that the use of solar energy in all water supply schemes of the constituency is under consideration.
