Sports Minister Dattatray Bharne Congratulates the Champions

 

Mumbai, 16 Maharashtra has secured an unprecedented victory by topping the Khelo India Youth Games rankings for the third consecutive year. State Sports Minister Dattatray Bharne congratulated the victorious athletes for their historic achievement.

 

The 7th edition of the Khelo India Youth Games was held in Bihar from May 4 to 15. Maharashtra bagged a total of 158 medals, including 58 gold, 47 silver, and 53 bronze, clinching the top spot in the country.

 

Maharashtra’s athletes excelled in 26 sports disciplines, including archery, mallakhamb, swimming, wrestling, kabaddi, boxing, weightlifting, and athletics. Minister Bharne extended his congratulations to the athletes for their outstanding performance across these diverse sports.

 

“This achievement is the result of the hard work of the athletes, the guidance of coaches, the support from sports organizations, and the encouragement of parents. As the State Sports Minister, I extend my best wishes to all athletes, coaches, and parents,” Bharne said in his message.
