New Engineering Courses at Purunmal Lahoti Government Institute in Latur
Starting from the academic year 2025-26, three new undergraduate engineering courses will be introduced at the Purunmal Lahoti Government Polytechnic in Latur. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The name of the institute will be changed to "Purunmal Lahoti Government Engineering and Technology Institute, Latur."
The new courses include Nuclear and Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Each course will have an intake capacity of 60 students. To support these courses, the Cabinet has approved the creation of 36 new teaching positions and 31 non-teaching positions. The total cost for books, furniture, computers, and equipment over the next four years will be approximately 26.61 crore rupees.
