 भारत रशिया संबंधांसाठी सांस्कृतिक देवाणघेवाण पूरक

            मुंबई, दि. २९ : “भारत व रशिया राजनैतिक संबंध स्थापनेला ७५ वर्षे पूर्ण झाली असून उभय देशांमधील सांस्कृतिक व व्यापार संबंध शेकडो वर्षे जुने आहेत. सांस्कृतिक देवाणघेवाण भारत रशिया संबंधाला पूरक आहे”, असे प्रतिपादन राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी यांनी येथे केले.

            रशिया - भारत राजनैतिक संबंध प्रस्थापित होण्यास ७५ वर्षे पूर्ण झाल्यानिमित्त राज्यपाल श्री. कोश्यारी यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत मुंबई येथील रॉयल ऑपेरा हाऊस येथे सोमवारी (दि. २८) रशियन सांस्कृतिक महोत्सवाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते, त्यावेळी ते बोलत होते. यावेळी रशियातील ५० कोसॅक कलाकारांच्या चमूने 'क्रिनित्सा' हे संगीत, लोककला व युद्धकला यावर आधारित नृत्य सादर केले.  

            भारत व रशिया यांच्यात घनिष्ठ राजनैतिक संबंध आहेत. सांस्कृतिक संबंध वाढल्याने हे बंध आणखी दृढ होतील, असे मत राज्यपालांनी मांडले. त्याचपद्धतीने आज भारतीय योग रशियात लोकप्रिय असल्याबद्दल राज्यपालांनी आनंद व्यक्त केला. रशियाचे मुंबईतील वाणिज्यदूत अलेक्सी सुरोवत्सेव यांनी हिंदी भाषेत स्वागतपर भाषण केल्याबद्दल राज्यपालांनी त्यांचे अभिनंदन केले.

            कार्यक्रमाला नौदलाच्या पश्चिम विभागाचे मुख्य ध्वज अधिकारी व्हाईस ॲडमिरल अजेंद्र बहादूर सिंह,  रशियाचे मुंबईतील उपवाणिज्य दूत जॉर्जी ड्रीअर, भारतीय सांस्कृतिक संबंध परिषदेचे पश्चिम विभागीय अधिकारी अनुराग सिंह, रॉयल ऑपेरा हाऊसचे संचालक आशिष दोशी व निमंत्रित उपस्थित होते.     

            रशियाच्या सांस्कृतिक मंत्रालयाने या रशियन सांस्कृतिक महोत्सवाचे आयोजन मुंबईतील रशियन वाणिज्य दूतावास, भारतीय सांस्कृतिक संबंध परिषद पश्चिम विभाग व रॉयल ऑपेरा हाऊस यांच्या सहकार्याने केले होते.  महोत्सवानिमित्त दिल्ली व कोलकाता येथे देखील सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले असल्याचे वाणिज्यदूतांनी सांगितले.

Governor inaugurates Russian Cultural Festival in Mumbai;

Describes Tolstoy, Gorky, Chekhov as all time great writers

 

            Mumbai 29 : Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari inaugurated the Festival of Russian Culture in India on the occasion of the completion of 75 years to the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Russia at Royal Opera House in Mumbai on Monday (28 Nov).

            A Music, Dance and Marshal skills ensemble 'Krinitsa' was presented by a group of Russian folk artists Cossacks on the occasion.   

            Governor Koshyari said even though the diplomatic relations between Russia and India are 75 years old, the two countries have had cultural and trade exchanges dating back to several centuries. He said he had read the works of Russian writers Maxim Gorky, Leo Tolstoy and Anton Chekhov and described their literary work as all time great, comparable to Ramcharit Manas and Gyaneshwari.

            The Governor said India and Russia share a strong bond of political, economic and strategic partnerships and added that growing cultural exchanges will further strengthen these relations. The Governor said he was happy that Raj Kapur was popular in Russia and in the present era, Yoga is gaining popularity in Russia.

            The Governor complimented the Russian Consul General in Mumbai Aleksei Surovtsev for making his entire welcome speech in Hindi.

            The Governor complimented the Director and artists of the dance ensemble 'Krinitsa' for the beautiful presentation and invited them to Raj Bhavan.

            The Russian Festival of Culture was organised by the Ministry of Culture of Russia, Consulate General of Russia in Mumbai in association with the Indian Council of Cultural Relations and the Royal Opera House Mumbai.
