Governor Interacts with Swayamsiddha coordinators of universities
Mumbai, 21 July : Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of state universities Jishnu Dev Varma today interacted with the University Coordinators of the online women empowerment platform related to State Public Universities, ‘Swayamsiddha’, through online mode from Lok Bhavan.
Addressing the meeting, the Governor said Swayamsiddha is a unique platform that aims to empower women through education, skill development, leadership, entrepreneurship and enhanced employability. He called for making ‘Swayamsiddha’ the tool of women empowerment by making it participatory, interactive, interesting and innovative.
He called upon the universities to enrol maximum girl students both from within and outside the State on the platform and further called for inviting role models to interact with the students.
Vice Chancellor of SNDT Women’s University Prof Ujwala Chakradeo, Vice Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Dr Manali Kshirsagar and State Coordinator of Swayamsiddha Anuradha Potdar gave their presentation on the occasion.
