₹36.35 crore development plan approved for Namokar Tirtha at Malsane in Nashik district
Mumbai, December 23: A development plan worth ₹36 crore 35 lakh for the Jain pilgrimage site Namokar Tirtha at Malsane (Taluka Chandwad) in Nashik district has been approved at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Sahyadri Guest House. The Chief Minister directed that all works under the plan be completed in a manner that enables devotees to experience not only spirituality but also a deep sense of inner satisfaction upon visiting the pilgrimage site.
Chief Minister Fadnavis emphasized that all works undertaken at the site must be of high quality, with no compromise on standards, and instructed that the projects be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
An International Panchkalyanak Pratishthan Mahotsav is scheduled to be held at Namokar Tirtha from 6 to 25 February 2026. Of the total approved amount, ₹24.26 crore will be spent on permanent infrastructure works, while ₹12.09 crore will be allocated for arrangements related to the festival. Minister of State for Finance and Planning Adv. Ashish Jaiswal and MLA Rahul Aaher were present at the meeting.
The Chief Minister stated that devotees visiting Namokar Tirtha should not face any inconvenience. Concerned agencies were instructed to ensure that all necessary facilities are made available. As devotees are expected to arrive from across India and abroad, the festival should be organized in such a way that every visitor feels satisfied with their experience. He also directed all government agencies to work in close coordination for the successful organization of the festival.
