Cabinet Decision (Total – 1)

(Revenue Department)

Three Acres of MTDC Land at Chikhaldara to Amravati’s Ambadevi Sansthan

Mumbai: The State Cabinet, at its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has approved the allotment of 3 acres and 8 R of land belonging to the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) at Mouje Chikhaldara in Amravati district to the Shri Ambadevi Sansthan, Amravati.

The land in question is part of approximately 7.5 acres that was allotted to MTDC in 1975 for developing basic facilities for tourists at Chikhaldara. However, the land had remained unused.

Shri Ambadevi Sansthan, Amravati—which is responsible for the management of Devi Point and the Virat Devi Temple at Chikhaldara—had requested land from the government for the development of these religious sites. Accordingly, the government has decided to resume about 3 acres and 8 R of land from MTDC and allot it free of cost to Shri Ambadevi Sansthan.

The land will be allotted to the temple trust as Occupant Class–II, and it shall be used exclusively for religious purposes.
