Two More Early Treatment Centers for Special Children to be Opened in Mumbai

Mumbai Pattern of Cleanliness will be Implemented in all Cities of State

Mumbai, 24 : Special children need special care. Free treatment will be provided through the Early Intervention and Rehabilitation Center for such children and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has instructed the Municipal Corporation officials to start one center each in the eastern and western suburbs of Mumbai. He said that a center will also be started in Thane. At the same time, he said that the 'Sampurna Swachchhata Abhiyan' (Complete Cleanliness Campaign), being implemented through the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, has become people's movement and soon this Mumbai pattern of cleanliness will be implemented in all the cities of the state in a phased manner.
Chief Minister Shri Shinde inaugurated the newly started Early Intervention and Rehabilitation Center for Children (EIRCC) under Nair Hospital on Sunday. Mumbai City District Guardian Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Mumbai Suburban District Guardian Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, Local MLA Raees Shaikh, MLA Smt. Yamini Jadhav, MLA Kalidas Kolambakar, Adv. Manisha Kayande, Ex-Corporator Datta Narvankar, Yashwant Jadhav, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Dr. Ashwini Joshi. , Dr. Sudhakar Shinde, Deputy Commissioner Ramakant Biradar and others were present on this occasion. As part of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's 'Sampurna Swachchhata Abhiyan', the Chief Minister today inspected the ongoing cleaning work at Dr. Hedgewar Chowk, Acharya Atre Chowk, Mata Ramai Ambedkar Chowk, Maharana Pratap Chowk in Naigaon, as well as Gandhi Chowk in BDD Chal area of Naigaon and he participated in the same.
Great Satisfaction of Starting an Early Treatment Center
After inaugurating the early treatment center for children, the Chief Minister said, this center is better than the private treatment centers and it is also a good example of how well the municipal corporation can work. Special children also have special needs, parents care about them. However, through this center such children will get free treatment and two such centers will be started in Mumbai East and West Suburbs and one center will also be started in Thane. The Chief Minister praised the doctors and staff treating the children here, saying that it was a great satisfaction to have started the early treatment center.
Cleanliness is the Key to Health
Under the concept of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's 'Sampurna Swachchhata Abhiyan' , cleaning is now being done every week in various wards. The Chief Minister himself is participating in this campaign. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, cleanliness is the key to health. Due to this, the entire cleanliness campaign in Mumbai has now become people's movement and local citizens, school students, NGOs are actively participating in this campaign. Through this, road cleaning, removing of soil, road washing with recycled water, cleaning of internal roads, footpaths, drains, public toilets etc. are being done by using modern tools like suction machines, air purifiers, mist machines and manpower from surrounding administrative departments. It has already been decided to hire one thousand tankers for this purpose. Due to this campaign, regular cleaning works are becoming convenient and the results of this will be visible in the coming time. The roads of Mumbai are being made pothole free and the beautification work is going on speedy manner. Planting trees at every chowk, increasing green area through urban forest is being done. He said that this will be of great benefit for pollution-free Mumbai.
Sanitation Workers are Real Heroes
The Chief Minister said, Mumbai is being made clean, beautiful, healthy and pollution free. Since cleanliness is related to the citizens' health, priority is being given to cleanliness. Mumbai is a world-class city, so emphasis is being given on making Mumbai clean and beautiful as expected by everyone in the world. A complete cleanliness campaign is being implemented through the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. At this time, he suggested that bus stops should be kept clean, tree plantation should be done in dividers, roads should be washed every day, buildings under construction should be covered to prevent dust. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised the officials as well as sanitation workers who are the real heroes of this campaign. On this occasion the Chief Minister said that the government has decided to clean the sanitation workers' colonies and their other problems will also be solved.
Chief Minister Mr.Shinde visited Bhavani Mata Temple of Naigaon Navratrautsav Mandal in BDD Chawl area of Naigaon. While interacting with the citizens on this occasion, he said, soon a meeting will be held regarding the police residence as well as the BDD Chawl. Also, projects pending for many years will be completed on behalf of the government. He also expressed his belief that Mumbaikars who have gone out of Mumbai will also be brought back to Mumbai.
