Pohradevi Pilgrimage Site Development Projects Will Face No Shortage of Funds

Mumbai, June 26, 2023: Chief Minister Shri. Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the ongoing works and the Pilgrimage Development Plan at the Umari and Pohradevi religious destinations of Maharashtra here today at the state secretariat: Mantralaya.
“There will be no dearth of funds for pilgrimage site development works. The district administration must take effective action to complete all works by March 2024," Chief Minister Shri. Eknath Shinde said during the review meeting held in Mumbai.
Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan participated through an online interaction while Food and Drug Administration Minister and Guardian Minister of Washim District Sanjay Rathod, MLA Rajendra Patni, Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik and others attended the meeting in person.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis directed that the process of land acquisition through donation deeds must be completed on a war footing and implemented immediately for development works to be taken up at the pilgrimage centres. Currently, work based on the development is ongoing with construction of the main building already completed. The District Collector of Washim gave a presentation regarding the construction of the mausoleum area under phase 2 of the project and facilities created for devotees.
Additional Chief Secretary of Finance (Expenditure) Department O. P. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works Department Manisha Mhaiskar, Principal Secretary of Rural Development Department Eknath Dawle and other dignitaries were also present at the meeting.
