मुंबई, 1 मार्च: विश्व आज पर्यावरण संरक्षण और जलवायु परिवर्तन की चुनौती का सामना करते हुए विकास करने की स्थिति में है। महाराष्ट्र भी जलवायु परिवर्तन की चुनौतियों का सामना करते हुए विकास की दिशा में आगे बढ़ रहा है। कनाडा के लिए महाराष्ट्र में निवेश के अनेक अवसर उपलब्ध हैं। कनाडा की शैक्षणिक संस्थाओं और उद्यमियों को महाराष्ट्र में निवेश करना चाहिए, ऐसा आह्वान मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने किया।

वे मुंबई स्थित ताज पॅलेस हॉटेल में आयोजित स्वागत समारोह में बोल रहे थे। यह कार्यक्रम कनाडा के राष्ट्रीय राजस्व मंत्री फ्रँकोइस-फिलिप शॅम्पेन, न्यू ब्रन्सविक की प्रीमियर सुसान होल्ट तथा कनाडाई शिष्टमंडल के सम्मान में आयोजित किया गया था।

The visit of the Canadian delegation to India and this event in Mumbai mark a new beginning in bilateral relations. The Chief Minister invited Canada to continue strengthening ties with India and Maharashtra in the future.

On the occasion, Canada’s Minister of National Revenue François-Philippe Champagne highlighted the long-standing history of bilateral relations between India and Canada and expressed confidence that cooperation would continue to deepen. Premier Susan Holt spoke about collaboration and ties between Maharashtra and New Brunswick.

Industries Secretary P. Anbalagan made a presentation on the state’s industrial policy and ease of doing business initiatives. Additional Metropolitan Commissioner Vikram Kumar from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) presented details of ongoing infrastructure projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. CIDCO Managing Director Vijay Singhal presented information about Navi Mumbai International Airport, EduCity, MediCity, AeroCity, and the International Trade Centre at Kharghar. Additional Chief Secretary Venugopal Reddy spoke about infrastructure being developed for foreign universities and the status of higher education in the state.

Canada has made remarkable progress in artificial intelligence, advanced technology, and environmental conservation, with strong institutional support from its government. On similar lines, the Maharashtra government is working in areas such as data centres, Global Capability Centres, and startups to shape the future of the state.

Recently, the state organised a successful conference on the use of artificial intelligence in agriculture. AI is being increasingly deployed to enhance agricultural productivity. Farmers in Maharashtra are being brought onto a digital platform through the AgriStack initiative, and the state is implementing the ‘Mahavistar’ programme to strengthen agricultural outreach.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has undergone significant transformation over the past decade, and Maharashtra is no exception, the Chief Minister added.

The Chief Minister said that large-scale infrastructure projects are underway in the state. Mumbai has received a second international airport — the Navi Mumbai International Airport — which is expected to unlock significant development opportunities in the region. An international ‘EduCity’ is also being developed in Navi Mumbai, where reputed global universities will establish campuses. So far, five universities have been issued Letters of Intent. The government is working to provide world-class infrastructure to these institutions.

He noted that nearly 60 per cent of Maharashtra’s population is below the age of 27. A large number of students from the state pursue higher education in Canada. Therefore, Canadian universities should establish campuses in Navi Mumbai’s upcoming EduCity.

Mumbai, March 1: The world today faces the dual challenge of ensuring environmental conservation while progressing amid the climate change crisis. Maharashtra, too, is addressing climate change while continuing on its path of development. There are numerous opportunities for Canada to invest in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, inviting Canadian educational institutions and entrepreneurs to explore investment prospects in the state.

He was speaking at a welcome reception organised at Taj Palace Hotel for Canada’s Minister of National Revenue François-Philippe Champagne, Premier of New Brunswick Susan Holt, and members of the Canadian delegation.

Minister of State for Protocol Jaykumar Rawal, Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, Municipal Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Bhushan Gagrani, Managing Director of City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) Vijay Singhal, the Chief Minister’s Investment Advisor Kaustubh Dhavse, Additional Chief Secretary (Higher and Technical Education) Venugopal Reddy, Industries Secretary P Anbalagan, and other senior officials were present on the occasion.

मुंबई, 1 मार्च: नागपुर जिले के राऊळगांव स्थित एक विस्फोटक फैक्ट्री में हुए विस्फोट को अत्यंत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण और दुखद बताते हुए मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने दुर्घटना में मृतकों के आश्रितों को पाँच लाख रुपये की आर्थिक सहायता देने की घोषणा की है।

इसके अतिरिक्त संबंधित कंपनी भी मृतकों के परिवारों को आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान करेगी। मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस ने इस घटना की गहन जांच के आदेश दिए हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कहा कि वे लगातार स्थानीय प्रशासन के संपर्क में हैं। जिलाधिकारी और पुलिस अधीक्षक तुरंत घटनास्थल पर पहुंचे हैं। राष्ट्रीय आपदा प्रतिक्रिया बल (एनडीआरएफ) और राज्य आपदा प्रतिक्रिया बल (एसडीआरएफ) की टीमें भी घटनास्थल पर मौजूद हैं। ‘पेसो’ (पेट्रोलियम एवं विस्फोटक सुरक्षा संगठन) और ‘डिश’ (औद्योगिक सुरक्षा एवं स्वास्थ्य निदेशालय) की टीमें भी वहां पहुंच चुकी हैं।

राहत और बचाव कार्य को तेज कर दिया गया है। अब तक 17 लोगों की मृत्यु हो चुकी है, जबकि 18 लोग घायल हुए हैं। घायलों को तत्काल उपचार के लिए नागपुर भेजा गया है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने मृतकों को भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए शोक संतप्त परिवारों के प्रति संवेदना व्यक्त की है। साथ ही उन्होंने घायलों के शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने की प्रार्थना की है।

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Expresses Grief Over the Tragedy

 

Mumbai, March 1: Stating that the explosion at an explosives factory in Ravalgaon in Nagpur district is extremely unfortunate and tragic, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced financial assistance of ₹5 lakh to the heirs of those who lost their lives in the incident.

 

In addition, the concerned company will also provide financial assistance to the families of the deceased. Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis has ordered a thorough inquiry into the incident.

 

The Chief Minister said that he is in constant touch with the local administration. The District Collector and the Superintendent of Police reached the spot immediately. Teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are also present at the site. Teams from PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation) and DISH (Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health) have reached the location as well.

 

Rescue operations have been intensified. So far, 17 persons have died and 18 have been injured in the explosion. The injured have been shifted to Nagpur for immediate medical treatment.

 

The Chief Minister paid heartfelt tributes to the deceased and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
