Justice Chandrashekhar sworn in as CJ of Bombay HC
Mumbai Dated 5 : Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Bombay Justice Shree Chandrashekhar was today sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.
Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office to Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar at a brief swearing-in ceremony held at Darbar Hall in Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Friday (5 Sept).
After countersigning the oath signed by the Chief Justice, the Governor presented a bouquet of flowers to the Chief Justice and congratulated him. The Chief Minister also congratulated the Chief Justice.
Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Narwekar, Minister of Skill Development Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of Protocol Jaykumar Rawal, judges of the Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Delhi, Allahabad and Bombay High Court, retired judges and senior government officers were present.
Earlier Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar read out the Notification of Appointment of the Chief Justice issued by Government of India.
The swearing in ceremony started with the rendition of the National Anthem and State Song and concluded with the playing of the National Anthem by the police band.
