Free Health Services Launched in Nagpur Through

Mobile Medical Units Under CM Devendra Fadnavis Initiative

Two Lakh Citizens to Receive Free Primary Healthcare Under Corporate Social Responsibility

Mumbai, Dated: June 11: Under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a reassuring healthcare initiative has been launched for citizens in underserved areas of Nagpur city. For this purpose, a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sanofi India Limited, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), and Piramal Swasthya Management and Research Institute (PSMRI), leading to the operationalization of two Mobile Medical Units (MMUs).

This initiative is being implemented as part of Sanofi's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Through this, approximately two lakh citizens above 30 years of age in Nagpur will receive free primary healthcare. The primary objective of these units is to ensure timely diagnosis and necessary treatment or referral for further hospital services for non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and oral cancer.

These mobile units are consistently providing healthcare services to urban poor and underprivileged communities, operating on routes in various parts of the city including Azad Colony, Bada Taj, BD Peth, Binaki, Chhota Jat, Dhanteshwari Nagar, Dharam Peth, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Ekatmata Nagar, Gittikhadan, Gopal Nagar, Jaitala, Jayanti Nagar, Mahatma Phule Chowk, Nandanvan, and Pachpoli. Additionally, this initiative also includes health awareness, lifestyle improvement, and de-addiction counseling services.

Aligned with the State Government's 'Health for All' Goal

This initiative aligns with the State Government's vision of providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare services. The effective implementation of these services has been made possible through the cooperation of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. In the future, more intensive cooperation with the State Government will be undertaken to expand this initiative.
