            मुंबई, दि. १३ : ब्रिटन के उप उच्चायुक्त हरजिंदर कांग ने आज मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे से सदिच्छा मुलाकात की। महाराष्ट्र में पर्यावरण, कृषि, मूलभूत सुविधा, स्वास्थ्य, पर्यटन, शिक्षा, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता आदि क्षेत्र में निवेश के लिए बड़ा अवसर है। सीधे विदेशी निवेश में महाराष्ट्र देश का पहले क्रमांक का राज्य है, ऐसा मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे ने इस अवसर बताया।

            श्री कांग के नेतृत्व में एक शिष्टमंडल ने मुख्यमंत्री से मुलाकात की। इस शिष्टमंडल में जॉन निकेल, सचिन निकारगे का समावेश था।

            मुख्यमंत्री श्री शिंदे ने इस मौके पर कहा कि पिछले कई दशकों से महाराष्ट्र और ब्रिटेन का वाणिज्यीक संबंध है। ब्रिटन भारत का बड़ा निवेशक है और उसकी कई कंपनियां महाराष्ट्र में हैं। निवेश के लिए महाराष्ट्र सर्वाधिक पसंदीदा राज्य है। पर्यावरण, उत्पादन, कृषि, मूलभूत सुविधा, स्वास्थ्य सेवा, अक्षय ऊर्जा, जैव प्रौद्योगिकी, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता, पर्यटन, औषधि निर्माण और शिक्षा इन क्षेत्रों में अवसर होने की बात मुख्यमंत्री ने कही। 

            इन सभी क्षेत्रों के लिए ब्रिटेन के पास वैश्विक स्तर की प्रगतिशील तकनीकी है। महाराष्ट्र में सड़क, बेहतर मूलभूत सुविधा और कुशल मनुष्य बल है। सकल राष्ट्रीय आय में राज्य का सबसे बड़ा योगदान है और सीधे विदेशी निवेश में महाराष्ट्र की बड़ी हिस्सेदारी है, ऐसा मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा।

            महाराष्ट्र में शिवराज्याभिषेक दिन का 350वां वर्षमहोत्सव मनाया जा रहा है। ब्रिटेन के वस्तुसंग्रहालय में रखी गई जगदंबा तलवार और बाघनखे महाराष्ट्र में वापस लाने के लिए सांस्कृतिक कार्य विभाग प्रयास कर रहा है। इस संबंध में सहयोग करने का आवाहन इस अवसर पर किया गया। इस अवसर पर उद्योग विभाग के प्रधान सचिव हर्षदीप कांबले, विकास आयुक्त दीपेंद्र सिंह कुशवाह आदि अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।

British Deputy high commissioner calls on Chief minister

Maharashtra is the State of highest priority for investment

            Mumbai, July 13 – Deputy High Commissioner of Britain Harjinder Kang today called on Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as a part of courtesy visit. Stating that Maharashtra is number one state when it comes to foreign direct investment in India, Chief Minister Shinde said that there is a lot of scope for investment in sectors like environment, agriculture, infrastructure, health, tourism, education, artificial intelligence.  

            A delegation led by Mr. Kang called on Chief Minister Shinde at Varsha Bungalow. The delegation included John Nikel, Sachin Nakarage.

             Pointing out that Maharashtra has trade ties with Britain for the last many decades, Chief Minister Shinde said that Britain is the big investor in Maharashtra with many of its companies investing in the State. Stating that Maharashtra was the State of highest priority when it comes to investment, he said that there are opportunities for investment in the fields like environment, manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure, health services, bio-technology, artificial intelligence, tourism, pharmacy and education.

            Chief Minister Shinde said that Britain has world class latest technology in all the fields and Maharashtra has best infrastructure and skilled manpower. Stating that Maharashtra has a big contribution in GDP of the country he said that the State has a lion share in foreign Direct Investment.

            Maharashtra is celebrating the 350th year of coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and an appeal is made to the British delegation to cooperate for bringing back Jagdamba Sword and Tiger Nails which are at a museum in Britain. Principal Secretary to the Department of Industries Harshadeep Kamble, Development Commissioner Deepender Singh Kushwah 

and other officials were present.
