 Work is simultaneously underway on three levels—on the ground, in the air, and underground—to improve transportation in Pune. Two ring road projects are being implemented for Pune and its surrounding areas. The metro network is expanding rapidly, and public transport services such as Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) are being strengthened to make commuting more efficient, he said.

He noted that some major cities have experienced slowed growth due to inadequate infrastructure. Therefore, decongesting Pune is a priority for the government. Since the city has limited road space, the administration is modernising the transport system through flyovers, grade separators, underpasses, and expansion of public transport.

Pune, March 8: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that robust infrastructure is essential for a rapidly growing city like Pune and the government is implementing multi-dimensional planning to free the city from traffic congestion.

The integrated double-decker flyover in front of Savitribai Phule Pune University was inaugurated on Sunday through a virtual system by Chief Minister Fadnavis. He was speaking on the occasion.

Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State Madhuri Misal, Mayor Manjusha Nagpure, MLA Siddharth Shirole, PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, and Additional Municipal Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation Prithviraj B. P. were present on the occasion.

मुंबई, दि.८ : महिलांचा सामाजिक, आर्थिक आणि शैक्षणिक क्षेत्रातील सहभाग वाढवून त्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासाला चालना देणे तसेच विविध क्षेत्रांत समान संधी उपलब्ध करून देणे यासाठी महिला व बालविकास विभाग कार्यरत आहे. विभागाच्या विविध योजनांचा लाभ घेत प्रतिकूल परिस्थितीवर मात करून यश संपादन केलेल्या कर्तबगार महिलांचा सन्मान करण्यात येणार असल्याची माहिती महिला व बालविकास मंत्री आदिती तटकरे यांनी दिली.

जागतिक महिला दिनाचे औचित्य साधून “सक्षम महिला – सशक्त महाराष्ट्र” हा विशेष सन्मान सोहळा  ९ मार्च २०२६ रोजी दुपारी १ वाजता, यशवंतराव चव्हाण प्रतिष्ठान, नरीमन पॉईंट, मुंबई येथे आयोजित करण्यात आला आहे.

हा कार्यक्रम मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत होणार असून उपमुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे आणि उपमुख्यमंत्री सुनेत्रा अजित पवार यांचीही उपस्थिती असणार आहे. तसेच राज्यमंत्री  मेघना साकोरे-बोर्डीकर यांची विशेष उपस्थिती असेल.

या कार्यक्रमाला विधान परिषद सभापती प्रा. राम शिंदे, उपसभापती डॉ.  नीलम गोऱ्हे, लोकसभा सदस्य अरविंद सावंत, विधानसभा अध्यक्ष अॅड. राहुल नार्वेकर, विधानसभा उपाध्यक्ष अण्णा बनसोडे, मुख्य सचिव राजेश अग्रवाल यांच्यासह विविध मान्यवर उपस्थित राहणार आहेत.

या सोहळ्यात अनाथ प्रमाणपत्र प्राप्त महिला, बालगृहात राहिलेल्या महिला, शक्ती सदन, निरीक्षण गृह, महिला आश्रम व महिला वसतिगृहातील महिला तसेच अंगणवाडी सेविका अशा विविध घटकांतील प्रतिकूल परिस्थितीवर मात करून उल्लेखनीय यश संपादन केलेल्या महिलांचा गौरव करण्यात येणार आहे. या महिलांनी समाजात प्रेरणादायी आदर्श निर्माण केला असून त्यांच्या कार्याचा सन्मान करून इतर महिलांनाही प्रेरणा देण्याच उद्देश या कार्यक्रमामागे असल्याचेही मंत्री आदिती तटकरे यांनी सांगितले.
