 During the early stages of the project, some media outlets and citizens had criticised the decision. However, the project was undertaken keeping the city’s long-term interests in mind. Referring to this, Ajit Dada had once remarked in a speech, “We may not be engineers, but it is our responsibility to ensure that projects are completed quickly according to the plans prepared by engineers.” With his persistent efforts, the project has now been completed and its positive impact is visible to the citizens of Pune, the Chief Minister added.
