Mumbai, April 12 : On the occasion of the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Directorate of Tourism under the Government of Maharashtra’s Tourism Department is organizing Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Tour Circuit on April 14 and 15, 2025, at Mumbai, Nashik, and Nagpur. The aim of this initiative is to spread awareness about Dr. Ambedkar’s remarkable life and contributions to people from all sections of society. These tours are free of cost for citizens and tourists, announced Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai.

The tour circuit includes important locations related to Dr. Ambedkar's life:

In Mumbai:

  • Chaityabhoomi (Dadar)
  • Rajgruha (Dr. Ambedkar’s residence)
  • Printing Press
  • B.I.T. Chawl (Parel)
  • Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College (Wadala)
  • Siddharth College (Fort)

In Nashik:

  • Muktibhoomi (Yeola)
  • Trirashmi Caves
  • Kalaram Temple

In Nagpur:

  • Deekshabhoomi
  • Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum
  • Dragon Palace (Kamptee)
  • Nagalok Vihar

Through this tour circuit, the government aims to convey the inspiring journey of Dr. Ambedkar and the significance of his contributions to social equality, education, and the drafting of the Indian Constitution to the general public and tourists. Citizens and tourists are invited to actively participate in these tours.
