Special Precautions for Tourists in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar
Chief Minister Fadnavis said that, due to the intense low-pressure area forming over the Arabian Sea, there is a strong possibility of cloudburst-like rainfall in large parts of Nashik district tomorrow. Around 300 mm of rainfall is expected, particularly in Trimbakeshwar and the surrounding areas. In view of this, the Nashik district administration should remain fully prepared and take measures to prevent waterlogging in low-lying areas. Adequate precautions should also be taken to ensure that there is no loss of life.
Considering the prevailing situation, special precautions should be taken to ensure the safety of tourists in Nashik and the Trimbakeshwar region. Tourists should be shifted to safer locations after taking into account factors such as roads that may be closed and areas prone to landslides. The Chief Minister also appealed to tourists to avoid visiting the Trimbakeshwar region for the next few days.
He directed all agencies to remain highly vigilant and initiate immediate action to rescue stranded citizens. The Chief Minister further emphasised that all departments should exercise maximum caution over the next 48 hours with the objective of achieving 'Zero Casualties.'
