 He further stated that the third and fourth railway lines on the Mumbai–Pune route, along with the proposed Mumbai–Pune and Pune–Hyderabad Bullet Train projects, will significantly strengthen Maharashtra's economy. The Union Government has allocated approximately ₹23,900 crore for railway development in Maharashtra. Redevelopment work is currently underway at 129 railway stations across the state, of which 93 stations have already been completed. Maharashtra presently operates 24 Vande Bharat train services, and more modern services, including Vande Bharat Sleeper trains, will be introduced in the future, he added.
