Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane said that the competition has been successfully organised based on the vision of late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. He stressed that farmers must effectively adopt technology in agriculture in line with changing times. He also noted that under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra became the first state in the country to announce an Artificial Intelligence policy for the agriculture sector.
Agriculture Commissioner Suraj Mandhare said that effective use of technology is essential to address challenges such as climate change, water scarcity, fertiliser shortages, labour shortages, and fluctuations in market prices. The competition is being organised to encourage innovation and bring global technologies directly to farmers’ fields.
