 Appeal by Mumbai Suburban District Deputy Election Officer to Provide Information on Voter ID Found in Flush Tank

Mumbai, Nov 27: A few print and electronic media outlets have reported, along with circulating video clips, that an election voter identity card was found inside a toilet flush tank in the Andheri area of Mumbai Suburban District. However, the circulated video clip does not provide any clarity, and the concerned media houses have stated that the clip was sourced from social media.

Upon investigation, the exact location of the incident could not be ascertained. Consequently, in connection with this news report and video clip, a has been registered at D.N. Nagar Police Station on November 20, 2025, against unknown persons.

The Mumbai Suburban District Deputy Election Officer has appealed that if any citizen has information regarding the clip shown in the report, they should bring it to the notice of the authorities. A thorough inquiry will be conducted based on any input received, the officer said.
