“Effective enforcement of law and order can steer the country towards global power” – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Mumbai, 20th – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that effective enforcement of law and order can help the country move towards becoming a global economic power. While upholding law and order, drug-related crimes pose a significant challenge for the police force, and the state has adopted a zero-tolerance policy to tackle them. Furthermore, to address cyber-related crimes in line with changing times, the use of modern technology is essential, the Chief Minister emphasized. The discussion session on “Reimagining the Police Force for India’s Economic Development” was organized at the Police Headquarters, Colaba, on the occasion of the 10th Foundation Day of the Indian Police Foundation. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the gathering. The event was attended by Uttar Pradesh Minister of stete Social Justice, Mr. Asim Arun; Indian Police Foundation Chief and former Governor of Meghalaya, R.S. Mashahri; Foundation President and former Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, O.P. Singh; Maharashtra Director General of Police, Rashmi Shukla; Mumbai Police Commissioner, Deven Bharti; along with senior police officers from various states.
