Farmers’ success stories shared with PM Modi
Chief Minister Fadnavis introduced various beneficiary farmers to PM Modi, who personally interacted with them and heard their success stories:
· Nashik (Satana – Kikwari village): Farmer Sunil Sitaram Kakulate irrigated 40 acres through Kusum-C scheme, increasing annual income by ₹2 lakh and creating employment for 50–60 people.
· Akola (Barshi Takli – Bhendi Mahal): Farmer Tushar Wankhede set up a 10 MW solar project on 6.5 acres. Earlier, due to lack of night power, only chickpea was cultivated. Now he grows papaya and banana, raising income from ₹35,000 to ₹80,000.
· Jalna (Jafrabad – Satefad): Farmer Surat Jatale installed a 5 HP solar pump under Kusum-B scheme, raising annual income from ₹60,000 to ₹1.5 lakh.
· Jalna (Bapkal): Farmer Tai Kishor Sawant installed a 3 HP solar pump for two acres under Kusum-B, increasing soybean production and utilizing surplus power at home through an inverter.
· Pune (Ambegaon – Mai Vasti): Farmer Madhuri Dhumal set up a 10 MW solar project on 10 acres, earning ₹15 lakh annually. Farmers in the area now have reliable daytime power.
· Dhule (Shirpur – Wakvad): Farmer Chandu Pawara installed a 7.5 HP solar pump, enabling maize, wheat, and groundnut cultivation.
· Satara: Farmer Gopal Mahalle benefitted from Kusum-C scheme. His project provides electricity to 1,700 people, supports gram panchayat revenue of ₹5 lakh annually, and ensures daytime electricity to local farmers.
