Appeal to Contact 'State Disaster Management' Helpline for Tourists Stranded in Kashmir

Mumbai, 23: In the wake of the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, tourists from Maharashtra who are stranded in various parts of Kashmir and their relatives are urged to contact the Maharashtra State Disaster Management Cell at 022-22027990 for assistance.

In response to this incident, the Disaster Management Cell at Mantralaya is operating round the clock (24x7). The mortal remains of tourists who lost their lives in the attack are being brought from Srinagar to Mumbai today. These bodies, from Maharashtra and Gujarat, will arrive at Mumbai Airport this afternoon, and from there, they will be transported by ambulance to their respective hometowns. All necessary support for this is being provided by the State Government.

Stranded tourists in Kashmir and their relatives in Maharashtra are strongly encouraged to call the helpline 022-22027990 for any assistance, as per the appeal from the State Disaster Management Cell.
