 Participation of Social organizations in the Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan

 Memorandum of Understanding signed between State Government and A T E Chandra Foundation

Mumbai, March 9:-  The Gaalmukt Dharan, Galyukt Shivar scheme Silt- free dams and sediment inclusive farms’ is implemented in the state under the Jalyukt Shivar Yojana -2 scheme.  It is proving to be helpful for increasing the water level in the dams and also enhancing the productivity of the agricultural soil. A Memorandum of Understanding MoU has been signed between the soil and water conservation department of the state and A T E Chandra Foundation with the objective to increase participation in the scheme and ensure its effective implementation.

“Slit- free dams and sediment inclusive farm” is an ambitious scheme of Chief Minister Sri Devendra Fadnavis. Various social organizations are eager to work in this scheme. A T E Chandra Foundation is also going to actively participate as a result, the availability of water in the state will be raised and at the same time the productivity of the agricultural land will be enhanced and the product of farmers will also increase remarkably. The Chief Minister had instructed the soil and water conservation department to participate in the implementation of this scheme and assist the foundation.

 Online data collection and monitoring bro Avni Gramin App

According to the Memorandum of understanding, A T E Chandra Foundation will provide technical assistance, project management cell and Human Resource assistance for this scheme. The foundation has developed an App named Avni Gramin App which will be utilized for gathering data and monitoring the work under the scheme. Similarly, all the employees of the voluntary organizations appointed by this Foundation will be imparted training through the Avni Gramin App.

 Increase in water stock and productivity of land

The Gaal mukt Dharan, Jalyukt Shivar that is silt free dams and silt inclusive fields scheme is an ambitious project of the state. Under this, the silt is removed from dams and rivers and deposited in the farmlands. This helps in increasing the water stocks and on the other hand it also enhances the productivity of
