मुंबई, 9 मार्च: भारत में सबसे अधिक पंजीकृत स्टार्टअप्स महाराष्ट्र में हैं, जिनमें से 45 प्रतिशत स्टार्टअप्स महिलाओं के नेतृत्व में हैं—यह गर्व की बात है। मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कहा कि राज्य वास्तव में देश की ‘स्टार्टअप राजधानी’ है और भारत की पांच ट्रिलियन डॉलर अर्थव्यवस्था को हासिल करने में महाराष्ट्र और विशेष रूप से महिला उद्यमियोंका बड़ा हिस्सा होगा।

जुहू स्थित एसएनडीटी महिला विश्वविद्यालय के परिसर में आयोजित ‘इनोवेशन महाकुंभ 2025’ के उद्घाटन सत्र में उन्होंने यह बात कही। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि युवाओं के मन में हर विचार नवप्रवर्तन है और इस स्टार्टअप के युग में हर व्यक्ति को नया उद्यमी बनने का अवसर है।

The Chief Minister visited the exhibition, congratulated all innovators, and honored the top three startup ideas in the fields of healthcare, agriculture and transport management. He also inaugurated a pre-incubation centre.

 Fadnavis further stated that modern innovation is not just about new products but about making life easier. When an idea transforms into market reality, it propels the economy, and AI and data analytics are accelerating new ideas. He expressed his belief that thanks to the Startup India initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become the world’s third-largest startup economy and will soon become second.

 He recalled how in Britain women did not have voting rights at that time, yet 1916-founded pioneer institution by Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve provided higher education for women. This foresight has led to a new era of women’s empowerment and innovation in Maharashtra. The state government has formulated a policy to promote new entrepreneurs. He asserted that the government and universities have a role in giving wings to youthful dreams and are supporting new entrepreneurs at every step

Mumbai, March 9: Maharashtra boasts the highest number of registered startups in India, and notably, 45 percent of these are led by women, which is a matter of pride. Stating that the state is the country’s true ‘Startup Capital’, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence that Maharashtra  especially its women entrepreneurs  will play a significant role in achieving India’s five-trillion-dollar economy target.

Fadnavis made these remarks at the inauguration of the ‘Innovation Mahakumbh 2025’ at the campus of SNDT Women's University in Juhu. He pointed out that every idea in the minds of the youth is innovation and in the era of startups, everyone has the opportunity to become a new entrepreneur.
