Temple Corridor Project Launched with ₹1,500 Crore Investment

Kolhapur, June 20 : Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that the Karveer Nivasini Shri Ambabai (Mahalakshmi) Temple, revered as the Kashi of South India, will be transformed into a world-class temple corridor through a comprehensive development project worth nearly ₹1,500 crore. He described the initiative as a matter of immense pride for millions of devotees.
He was addressing a public thanksgiving ceremony held at the Police Headquarters Ground. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare and Guardian Minister of Kolhapur District Prakash Abitkar, Minister for Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant (Dada) Patil, Minister for Cultural Affairs Adv. Ashish Shelar, Minister for Medical Education Hasan Mushrif, Minister for Rural Development Jaykumar Gore, Minister for Public Works Shivendraraje Bhosale, Minister of State for Urban Development and Co-Guardian Minister of Kolhapur District Madhuri Misal, Executive Chairman of the State Planning Board Rajesh Kshirsagar, former Minister Ravindra Chavan, Members of Parliament Dhananjay Mahadik and Dhairyashil Mane, MLAs Dr. Vinay Kore, Dr. Rajendra Patil-Yadravkar, Amal Mahadik, Chandradeep Narke, Dr. Ashokrao Mane, Shivaji Patil, Niranjan Davkhare, Zilla Parishad President Shilpa Khot, Mayor Ruparani Nikam, former Minister Prakash Awade, and several other dignitaries were present.
