Three core pillars
The MCW is built around three focus areas:
- Food Systems — promoting sustainable agriculture and nutrition in response to climate pressures.
- Energy Transition — accelerating the shift toward clean, renewable energy.
- Urban Resilience - strengthening cities against climate risks.
These pillars lie at the heart of India’s development priorities, ensuring the initiative extends beyond environmental discourse.
Innovation and youth leadership
Innovation is central to MCW. An Innovation Challenge supported by the National Stock Exchange will invite startups, researchers and civil society groups to present solutions. Youth participation is strengthened through a dedicated green innovation competition in partnership with UNICEF, nurturing the next generation of climate leaders.
