 India’s Largest Shipyard to Be Established in Maharashtra

• Land acquisition to begin for Kolhapur–Vaibhavwadi railway line

• Review meeting of the Ports Department

 

Nagpur, Dec. 11 : Considering Maharashtra’s 720 km-long coastline, the upcoming Vadhavan Port, and the immense opportunities in the maritime sector, India’s largest shipyard should be established in Maharashtra by 2026, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed.

A review meeting of the Ports Development Department was held today in the Council Hall of the Legislature, chaired by Chief Minister Fadnavis. Minister of Fisheries and Ports Development Nitesh Rane was present.
