35,362 Patients Receive Assistance of ₹299 Crore
from the Chief Minister’s Medical Aid Fund
Mumbai, Dec 12: Several reforms have been implemented in the Chief Minister’s Medical Aid Fund Cell over the past year. These positive changes have yielded significant results, with 35,362 patients across the state receiving medical financial assistance amounting to ₹299,43,52,400 between December 6, 2024 and December 6, 2025.
The Cell has extended medical aid to thousands of needy patients over the past year. To ensure even more beneficiaries in the future, initiatives such as tripartite agreements and consolidation of all government health schemes will further simplify access to assistance for deserving patients.
Establishment of District Cells
Earlier, patients and their relatives had to travel to Mumbai to avail benefits from the Chief Minister’s Medical Aid Fund, resulting in expenditure of time and money. To eliminate this difficulty, district-level cells were set up as per the directives of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
FCRA Certification
The most significant achievement this year is the granting of FCRA certification to the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund Cell. It has become the first such cell in India to receive this approval, allowing it to directly accept donations from foreign contributors.
