Minister Nitesh Rane Performs Bhoomi Pujan for New Jetty at Radio Club
Mumbai, March 13: Maharashtra’s Minister for Ports, Nitesh Rane, performed the Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for the construction of a new passenger jetty and terminal building at the Radio Club. Present on this occasion were Maharashtra Maritime Board’s Chief Executive Officer P. Pradeep, Chief Engineer Surendra Topale, Senior Administrative Officer Pradeep Badiye, Superintendent Engineer Sudhir Devre, and other officials.
The existing jetty at the Gateway of India is proving insufficient to handle passenger traffic, creating difficulties for elderly individuals, women, and children. The proposed jetty will help reduce congestion at the existing Gateway of India jetty and improve convenience for passengers.
