 सुलोचना चव्हाण यांच्या निधनाबद्दल राज्यपालांना दुःख

            मुंबई, दि. १० : राज्यपाल भगतसिंह कोश्यारी यांनी लावणीसम्राज्ञी पद्मश्री सुलोचनाताई चव्हाण यांच्या निधनाबद्दल तीव्र दुःख व्यक्त केले आहे. वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण आवाज व ठसकेबाज शब्दफेकीमुळे सुलोचनाताईंनी अनेक लावण्या व गीते अजरामर केल्या. त्यांचा स्वर वर्षानुवर्षे लोकांच्या मनात घोळत राहील यात शंका नाही. त्यांना भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजली अर्पण करतो व आपल्या शोकसंवेदना त्यांचे सुपुत्र श्री विजय चव्हाण व इतर कुटुंबियांना कळवतो असे राज्यपालांनी आपल्या शोकसंदेशात म्हटले आहे.

Governor Koshyari condoles demise of Sulochana Chavan

            Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has expressed condolences on the demise of renowned Lavani singer Smt Sulochana Chavan in Mumbai. In a condolence message to her son Shri Vijay Chavan, Governor Koshyari wrote: "Smt Sulochanatai Chavan was the undisputed Queen of lavani. She infused life in the poetry and immortalized many lavanis on the strength of her unique voice and diction. Her beautiful voice will live on for many more years. I offer my homage to the great singer and convey my condolences to Shri Vijay Chavan and other members of the bereaved family."
