The Sanchar Saathi portal has also been instrumental in tackling cases where international numbers appear as Indian (+91) numbers to defraud citizens.
The Department of Telecommunications and Police authorities coordinate closely to investigate such cases promptly, disable fraudulent networks, and thereby reinforce national security.
Citizens are requested to report any international calls appearing from Indian numbers by contacting the toll-free helpline 1963.

शिक्षक व पदवीधर मतदार संघांच्या निवडणुकांसाठी मतदार नोंदणी सुरु
मुंबई, दि. 8 : भारत निवडणूक आयोगाने जाहीर केलेल्या कार्यक्रमानुसार पुणे, नागपूर व औरंगाबाद विभागातील पदवीधर मतदार संघ, तसेच पुणे व अमरावती विभागातील शिक्षक मतदार संघांच्या द्विवार्षिक निवडणुकांसाठी मतदार याद्या नव्याने तयार करण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू आहे.
निवडणूक आयोगाच्या माहितीनुसार, 6 नोव्हेंबर, 2025 पर्यंत पात्र पदवीधर आणि शिक्षकांकडून अनुक्रमे प्रपत्र 18 व 19 मध्ये प्राप्त झालेल्या अर्जांवर संबंधित निवडणूक निर्णय अधिकारी निर्णय घेतील. त्यानुसार 25 नोव्हेंबर, 2025 रोजी प्रारूप मतदार याद्या प्रसिद्ध करण्यात येतील.
यानंतर 25 नोव्हेंबर ते 10 डिसेंबर 2025 या कालावधीत नागरिकांना या यादीविषयी दावे व हरकती सादर करण्याची संधी मिळेल. तसेच 6 नोव्हेंबर नंतरही पदवीधर आणि शिक्षकांना प्रपत्र 18 व 19 द्वारे मतदार नोंदणी करण्याची मुभा असेल.
10 डिसेंबर, 2025 पर्यंत प्राप्त झालेल्या अर्जांवर विचार करून 30 डिसेंबर, 2025 रोजी अंतिम मतदार याद्या प्रसिद्ध केल्या जाणार आहेत.

मतदार नोंदणीसाठी आवश्यक पात्रता निकष, आवश्यक कागदपत्रे व संबंधित माहिती या संकेतस्थळावरील “Manual” या विभागात पाहता येईल. त्यामुळे अद्याप अर्ज सादर न केलेल्या पात्र पदवीधर व शिक्षकांनी तात्काळ आपली नोंदणी करून घ्यावी, असे मुख्य निवडणूक अधिकारी कार्यालयाने एका प्रसिद्धीपत्रकाद्वारे कळविले आहे.
प्रमुख प्रचारकांची संख्या आता 20 ऐवजी 40
मुंबई, दि. 8 : स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थांच्या निवडणुकांसाठी राजकीय पक्षांकडून जाहीर करण्यात येणाऱ्या प्रमुख प्रचारकांच्या (Star Campaigner) संख्येची मर्यादा आता राज्य निवडणूक आयोगाने 20 वरून 40 केली आहे.
स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थांच्या निवडणुकांसाठी असलेली प्रमुख प्रचारकांची मर्यादा वाढवून 40 करण्यात यावी, अशी मागणी विविध राजकीय पक्षांच्या प्रतिनिधींनी आयोगाच्या कार्यालयात 14 ऑक्टोबर 2025 रोजी झालेल्या बैठकीत केली होती. ‘महाराष्ट्र राज्य राजकीय पक्ष नोंदणी, विनियमन आणि निवडणूक चिन्ह (आरक्षण व वाटप) आदेश, 2025’ मधील परिच्छेद 26 मध्ये प्रमुख प्रचारकांसंदर्भातील तपशील नमूद केला आहे. त्यातील तरतुदींच्या आधारे आणि राजकीय पक्षांच्या प्रतिनिधींनी केलेली मागणी लक्षात घेऊन ही संख्या वाढविण्यात आली आहे. राजकीय पक्षांना प्रमुख प्रचारकांची यादी संबंधित स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थांच्या निवडणुकांसाठी संबंधित जिल्हाधिकारी किंवा महानगरपालिका आयुक्त यांच्याकडे सादर करावी लागेल.
एआयसारख्या नवकल्पनामुळे माणसाला यंत्रांशी स्पर्धा करावी लागत असताना, तंत्रज्ञानाने घडवून आणलेली उलथापालथ समजून घेऊन ते योग्य दिशेने वळविण्याचे आणि समाजाला सकारात्मक दिशा देण्याचे कार्य संस्कार भारतीसह सर्वांना करावे लागेल, असे आवाहनही मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी यावेळी केले.
