 मुंबई की फिल्म सिटी में मीडिया एंड एंटरटेनमेंट सिटी की स्थापना

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने घोषणा की कि मुंबई की 500 एकड़ क्षेत्र में फैली फिल्म सिटी में एनिमेशनगेमिंग और विजुअल इफेक्ट्स के लिए विशेष रूप से 120 एकड़ में मीडिया एंड एंटरटेनमेंट सिटी स्थापित की जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि ये दोनों परियोजनाएं आगामी कुछ महीनों में वास्तविकता में उतरेंगी।

 

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इस वेव्स सम्मेलन के माध्यम से भारत ने यह सिद्ध किया है कि वह रचनात्मक (क्रिएटिव) क्षेत्र में भी अग्रणी बनने की क्षमता रखता है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में भारत ने आर्थिक महाशक्ति के रूप में अपनी पहचान बनाई है और अब देश रचनात्मक क्षेत्र में भी नेतृत्व के लिए तैयार है।

 

उन्होंने आगे कहा कि सूचना प्रौद्योगिकीकौशल और प्रतिभा महाराष्ट्र की प्रमुख ताकतें हैंऔर भारत की नई 'क्रिएटिव वेव्सका स्वागत करने का आह्वान उन्होंने सभी से किया।

He further stated that through the WAVES Summit, India has demonstrated its leadership in the creative sector. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged as a global economic powerhouse, and now the country is poised to lead in the creative industry as well.

 

Highlighting Maharashtra's strengths in information technology, skills, and talent, the Chief Minister invited everyone to embrace India's new ‘Creative WAVES’.

Mumbai, May 1: Various sectors are contributing to Maharashtra’s growth, and in the coming years, the entertainment industry will play a significant role in the state’s development, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.


 


The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit 2025 (WAVES Summit) was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The event was attended by Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan, Railways and Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan, along with other dignitaries from India and abroad.

For the first time, the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) will be established in Mumbai, with a funding of ₹400 crore approved by the central government. Global giants like Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Adobe will collaborate in setting up this institute. Through WAVES, India is progressing towards becoming a global hub for the creative industry, said Ashwini Vaishnaw in his welcome address.

Actor Anupam Kher outlined the vision behind the WAVES initiative. Singers M.M. Keeravani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Mangli performed the welcome song. WAVES advisory board members including Mohanlal, Hema Malini, Kartik Aaryan, S.S. Rajamouli, Rajinikanth, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen shared their thoughts during the event.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi also unveiled postage stamps in memory of Gurudutt, P. Bhanumathi, Raj Khosla, Ritwik Ghatak, and Salil Chowdhury for their contributions to Indian cinema.

The global animation market is currently worth over $430 billion and is expected to double in the next 10 years. The WAVES summit will open new doors of success for India's animation and graphics industry, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit 2025 (WAVES) in a grand ceremony held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The event was attended by Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw (Railways and I&B), S. Jaishankar (External Affairs), Dr. L. Murugan (MoS I&B), Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and several national and international dignitaries.

Indian films have now reached audiences across the globe. Today, Indian films are screened in more than 100 countries. Foreign audiences are not just watching Indian films but also trying to understand them. A notable aspect of Indian cinema is that many international viewers are watching Indian content with subtitles. India has become a global hub for film production, digital content, gaming, fashion, and music, Modi said.

Mumbai, May 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the India Pavilion, Maharashtra Pavilion, and Gaming Arcade set up at the WAVES Summit being held at the World Jio Center.

 

On this occasion, Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Railways and Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were also present.

 

As part of the India Pavilion, the Prime Minister also visited the ‘Magical Maharashtra’ Pavilion set up by the state government. During the visit, he explored various pavilions and learned about the latest technologies being used in the entertainment and audio-visual sectors.

 

After visiting the Gaming Arcade, he interacted with representatives of participating companies and discussed emerging technologies in the gaming industry as well as opportunities within the sector.

 

The India Pavilion features participation from Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, along with major entertainment and media platforms such as Netflix, Jio, YouTube, and several news channels and film production houses, all of which have set up their respective pavilions.
