 Chief Minister Fadnavis expressed satisfaction that this new expansion project of Solar Defence and Aerospace would establish Nagpur as one of the country’s leading centres for defence and aerospace manufacturing. He said this initiative would further strengthen Maharashtra’s contribution to ‘Make in India’, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, and the state’s overall industrial growth. The Chief Minister added that the project reflects the success of Maharashtra’s investor-friendly policies and the growing confidence of top industries in the state.

Solar Defence and Aerospace is investing around ₹12,080 crore in India’s defence sector, with ₹680 crore earmarked for this Nagpur project located within the MIHAN Special Economic Zone. The project is expected to generate about 400 direct and 1,000 indirect employment opportunities.
