Global Standard Higher Education Opportunities through Educity and Medicity

Mumbai, April 18: Students in Maharashtra will soon get access to world-class higher education opportunities through Educity and Medicity projects. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed concerned departments to ensure that land for these projects is made available promptly, as several renowned international universities have shown interest in setting up campuses here.
A review meeting regarding Educity and Medicity was held at Sahyadri State Guest House. Senior officials from the Higher and Technical Education Department and CIDCO were present.
The Chief Minister stated that these projects will enable students to access global-quality education within Maharashtra. Since many reputed universities worldwide are interested, departments have been instructed to take immediate action to facilitate campus establishment.
Project Planning
Educity and Medicity will be developed near the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The process has already begun, and land acquisition is underway. A blueprint for Medicity has also been prepared.
Boost to Startups and Research
Leading global universities are planning to establish campuses in India and Maharashtra. This will create high-quality education opportunities across sectors, increase the number of startups, and significantly boost research activities.
