 Successful Implementation of ‘Disha Abhiyan’ Conceptualized by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Maharashtra Leads the Nation in Special Education, Setting a New Benchmark

 

Mumbai, Aug 10: The ‘Disha Abhiyan,’ which provides a uniform and quality-oriented direction for the education of students with intellectual disabilities, has been successfully implemented in Maharashtra. Conceived through the visionary initiative of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the campaign has brought about an unprecedented transformation in the education of students with intellectual disabilities. The highly effective and successful execution of this initiative in Maharashtra has set a benchmark for the entire country. Developed by the Jai Vakeel Foundation and approved by the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID), this innovative curriculum has been implemented in 453 special schools across the state, as announced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Chief Minister
