Chief Minister's Presence at Shri Sant Wamanbhau Maharaj's Narali Saptah in Ghatshil Pargaon

Beed, 19th: Beed district has a great tradition of Narali Saptah (Coconut Week), spirituality, and thoughts. The tradition of Saptah started by Sant Wamanbhau has been going on uninterruptedly for the past 93 years. Through this tradition, the noble work of shaping society is being done, stated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today. While developing Gahinath Gad, he also said that Beed district will be made a water-rich district.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was speaking at the 93rd Narali Saptah of Shri Sant Wamanbhau Maharaj in Ghatshil Pargaon, Shirur Kasar taluka. On this occasion, Environment Minister Pankaja Munde, Mathadhipati (Head of the Monastery) Vitthal Baba Maharaj, Waqf Board Chairman Sameer Kazi, MLAs Suresh Dhas, Mrs. Namita Mundada, Mrs. Monika Rajale, former MLAs Jaydatt Kshirsagar, Bhimrao Dhonde, Divisional Commissioner Dilip Gawde, Special Inspector General of Police Virendra Mishra, and Collector Avinash Pathak were present.

Mr. Fadnavis further said that the development work of Gahinath Gad is underway and more development work is yet to be done. The society has not abandoned the path of devotion shown by the saints. The participation of all sections of the society is seen in this tradition that shapes society. He expressed happiness that Muslim brethren have also participated in this. He mentioned that a special relationship has been established with Beed district due to their leader, the late Gopinathrao Munde. Today, he felt deeply happy to be able to participate in the tradition of Wamanbhau's Saptah and receive blessings.

Stating that every devotee visiting Gahinath Gad should have excellent arrangements, Mr. Fadnavis said that along with the fort, they are committed to developing the facilities for the devotees in this area as well as the entire region. He further said that the government has brought Krishna's water up to Ashti to make Marathwada and Beed district permanently drought-free. Their resolve is to deliver that water to the entire Beed district. Approval has also been given to the plan to bring 53 TMC of water into the Godavari basin to make Marathwada and Beed district water-rich. This will permanently eradicate drought from this region. Mr. Fadnavis clarified that the current generation has seen drought, but they will not let the next generation see it.

Environment Minister Pankaja Munde said that Sant Wamanbhau and Sant Bhagwan Baba started the tradition of Saptah, which created a spiritual taste among the people of this region, and it continues uninterruptedly. The Chief Minister is with them for the development of Gahinath Gad as well as the overall development of Beed district. Therefore, she expressed confidence that Beed district will definitely become prosperous and fertile in the coming times.

On this occasion, the Mathadhipati of the fort, Vitthal Maharaj, gave information about the unbroken Narali Saptah tradition started by Sant Wamanbhau 93 years ago. A large number of devotees from Beed and Ahilyanagar districts were present on this occasion.
