Cooperative Movement Was Born as an Alternative to Leanding System

MP and former CM Sharad Pawar reflected on the 1875 Supe uprising as a response to the exploitative moneylending system, marking the beginning of the cooperative movement. He noted that the schemes initiated by the State Cooperative Bank during that era are still operational and have brought prosperity to many lives.
Pawar emphasized the need to revitalize cooperative institutions to keep them viable and called for dedicated efforts to ensure their long-term sustainability.
