 Water Supply Projects in Ghansawangi Constituency Should Be Expedited

Mumbai, May 13 : Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Gulabrao Patil has directed that various water supply projects in the Ghansawangi Assembly Constituency of Jalna district should be completed in a well-planned and time-bound manner.

He was speaking during a review meeting held at the Ministry regarding the water supply projects in Ghansawangi Assembly Constituency. The meeting was attended by MLA Hikmat Udhan, Principal Secretary of the Water Supply Department Sanjay Khandare, Mission Director's representative Sushma Satpute, Chief Engineer Prashant Bhamre, and other officials connected to the water supply works in the constituency.

Minister Patil emphasized that water supply works in the Marathwada region should be completed on priority. He stated that a site inspection of these projects will be conducted within the next fortnight and warned that action will be taken against officers who provide incorrect information.

He also instructed that immediate action be taken against contractors responsible for delays in ongoing water supply works under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Furthermore, works that are currently progressing should be accelerated to ensure that citizens benefit at the earliest.

He added that the use of solar energy in all water supply schemes in the constituency is under active consideration.
